EcoVadis medal for Device Europe

Device Europe is proud to announce that it has been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal, ranking among the top 15% of companies worldwide evaluated for their performance in sustainability, ethics, and environmental management.

This prestigious recognition reflects our consistent implementation of ESG principles – Environmental, Social, and Governance – and acknowledges Device Europe’s long-term efforts to advance sustainable IT transformation, ensure transparent ITAD processes, and uphold the highest ethical standards in cooperation with partners, clients, and employees.

EcoVadis – a global benchmark for sustainability performance

EcoVadis is one of the most recognized global sustainability rating platforms. Its methodology is based on international standards, including ISO 26000, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the UN Global Compact principles, and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines.

Each company is assessed across four key categories:

  1. Environment – evaluating carbon management, energy efficiency, waste reduction, resource use, and circular economy initiatives.

  2. Labor & Human Rights – assessing workplace safety, equal opportunities, employee development, and respect for human rights throughout the value chain.

  3. Ethics – measuring transparency, anti-corruption policies, compliance with international regulations, and risk management practices.

  4. Sustainable Procurement – reviewing supplier selection and evaluation practices, environmental and social risk management, and collaboration with certified partners.

Achieving the Silver Medal means that Device Europe scored above the global average, confirming that the company operates in alignment with leading international ESG standards.

The assessment result as a validation of our strategy

For Device Europe, this recognition serves as clear evidence of the maturity and effectiveness of our management systems, and of our ability to translate environmental, ethical, and social policies into measurable results.

The EcoVadis evaluation particularly acknowledged:

  • our comprehensive approach to information security management and compliance with ISO 27001:2022,

  • continued certification under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001,

  • adherence to the R2v3 standard for responsible electronics recycling,

  • transparent procurement procedures and strong engagement with ethical and sustainable suppliers.

Four strategic pillars that define Device Europe

Our actions are guided by four strategic pillars that shape both our operations and communication:

  • Risk Management & Compliance – full alignment with international standards, the use of certified Blancco software for secure data erasure, and maintaining a transparent chain of custody.

  • Financial Value & ROI – IT asset value recovery, lifecycle optimization, and promoting circular economy models that combine economic efficiency with environmental responsibility.

  • Operational Efficiency & Transparency – process automation, standardized reporting, and complete traceability of each IT asset, ensuring the highest level of accountability.

  • Sustainability & ESG Leadership – long-term commitment to carbon reduction, e-waste minimization, and supporting clients in achieving their own sustainability objectives.

Our commitment to the future

Achieving the EcoVadis Silver Medal is not an endpoint for Device Europe, but rather a confirmation that we are on the right path. The company continues to invest in ESG development, strengthen its ethical and inclusive corporate culture, and enhance risk management systems throughout the supply chain.

Our next milestone is to reach the EcoVadis Gold Medal, marking the next stage in our journey toward becoming a recognized leader in sustainable IT transformation across Europe.

Global Asset Services B.V. Joins Device Europe Group - Expanding Capabilities Across the Benelux Region

1 July 2025 marks an important milestone in the growth of Device Europe. On this date, Global Asset Services B.V., a well-established logistics and IT processing hub based in Haarlem, the Netherlands, officially joined the Group. This strategic step further strengthens Device Europe’s European network and consolidates its position as a leading provider of circular IT lifecycle solutions.

The integration of Global Asset Services B.V. brings with it a powerful combination of operational excellence, local expertise, and infrastructure ideally suited for the Group’s expanding portfolio of IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and network equipment refurbishment services. Operating from the same site previously managed by our affiliated company, Global Hardware Solution, the Haarlem facility is a fully functional logistics and processing centre serving clients across the Benelux region and continental Europe.

From now on, Device Europe gains not only an additional physical presence in the Netherlands, but also a strong operational backbone: an agile team with exceptional skills in handling, testing, and re-deploying network and data centre equipment.

Joey Brammer and Marcelino Balorian – key members of the Haarlem management team – continue to lead the local operations. Their deep technical knowledge, hands-on approach, and dedication to quality and customer satisfaction make them the driving force behind the continuous development of this strategic hub.

“By welcoming Global Asset Services B.V. into our group, we are not just expanding our geographical footprint – we are reinforcing our ability to deliver world-class, secure, and sustainable circular IT services across Europe,” says Maciej Jakimiec, Managing Director of Device Europe.

“The Haarlem site has always been an important link in our network, and this step ensures even greater operational coherence, efficiency, and responsiveness to our partners’ needs.”

The Haarlem hub plays a crucial role in Device Europe’s European logistics chain, handling inbound and outbound flows of IT equipment, coordinating refurbishments, and supporting major OEM and ITAD partners. The site is equipped to process a wide range of enterprise-grade hardware, including servers, routers, switches, and network components, all within the framework of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards – ensuring full compliance, traceability, and environmental responsibility.

The integration of Global Asset Services B.V. marks another decisive step in Device Europe’s journey toward building a truly pan-European circular IT network – one that combines operational excellence with environmental and social responsibility. By uniting the Group’s experience, Dutch precision, and the entrepreneurial spirit of the Haarlem team, Device Europe continues to set new standards in secure, compliant, and value-creating IT lifecycle management. This expansion not only strengthens our service capability across the Benelux region but also reflects our broader mission: to lead the transformation of the IT industry toward a more sustainable, connected, and positive-impact future.

  • Environmental Reporting: Providing detailed insights into the environmental impact of our processes, helping us track and reduce our carbon footprint while maximizing the reuse of assets.

Together, these efforts ensured we met the rigorous requirements of the certification process.

The Result:

After months of hard work, we successfully achieved the R2v3 Certification. This certification solidifies our position as a leader in the ITAD industry, reaffirming our commitment to environmental sustainability, data security, and legal compliance.
